WP 6.2 of EU-JAMRAI promotes a bottom-up approach from clinical practice to policy level to improve health-care systems’ infection control capacity by: Adapting existing policies and evidence-based guidelines on prevention of catheter associated urinary tract infections. Using an established implementation model that ensures co-operation between key levels (national/regional/local) and stakeholders. Promoting the implementation of similar working routines in EU and non-EU countries in Europe.
The main objective of this workshop was to look for a sustainable IPC improvement. On the occasion, WHO Europe presented the WHO IPC core components, and ECDC gave their perspective on dissemination and sustainability.
