Workshop: Antimicrobial Stewardship in the Environment

The EU-JAMRAI 2 Workshop on Antimicrobial Stewardship in the Environment was held on October 18, in Madrid. The event brought together 30 professionals from different EU countries and institutions to discuss strategies aimed at reducing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) through education, training and innovative approaches.

The event featured key discussions on identifying target audiences, conducting gap analyses, and reviewing available training materials, followed by an exploration of innovative learning methodologies.

Participants also engaged in an interactive roundtable session to discuss and explore needs, preferred methodologies, and potential approaches to enhance educational outcomes in antimicrobial stewardship (AMS).

Team building

The event was also an occasion for bonding between the members of the work package. As part of the programme, the participants of the event enjoyed a team building activity around AMR in the environment through art and painting. The result, in addition to strengthening the relationships between the professionals involved in this task within EU-JAMRAI 2, was the creation of a collaborative mural.
