Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infection, Prevention and Control in animal health workshop held in Bilbao

The first EU-JAMRAI 2 workshop on AMS and IPC in animal health was held in Bilbao on 11 March 2025.

The event was jointly organised by the professionals involved in the work areas of Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) of the Joint Action.

The workshop pursued collecting non-published inputs on core elements and competencies for AMS and IPC programs in the animal health sector, with a special focus on food-producing animals, and companion animals.

The meeting also promoted and facilitated the exchanges of experiences and practices on IPC and AMS between experts from the animal and human health sectors.
