EU-JAMRAI-2 promoted on the II Fair “Get closer to Europe in the Region of Murcia”

Last Friday, October 18, 2024, the courtyard of the Faculty of Letters, on the La Merced Campus of the University of Murcia (Spain), hosted the II Fair “Get closer to Europe in the Region of Murcia”.

This second edition focused especially on bringing young people from the region of Murcia closer to the numerous opportunities offered by the European Union, although the event was open to the general public.

Throughout the morning, attendees were able to visit the information stands, where they had direct access to information and advice on scholarships, mobility programs and employment in the European area. The fair was attended by about 500 people, mainly university students, but also high school students and the general public.

The Foundation for Health Training and Research of the Region of Murcia (FFIS-IMIB) and the Murcian Health Service were also present through the International Biohealth Projects Office (IBiPO), promoting participation in European collaborative projects and Joint Actions in the biosanitary field.

All interested persons were informed about the projects currently underway, their benefits and impact on society, and were given promotional material.

EU-JAMRAI-2 project was also promoted in this Fair. This year, a special focus was placed on the topic of Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infections with a One Health approach (EU-JAMRAI-2) and on promoting the global symbol for antimicrobial resistance that unites us all.

More than 100 interested people were able to hear how this symbol was found, what its concept is based on, and they were also able to create it themselves to wear with pride, thus becoming an agent of change.
