EU-JAMRAI has celebrated a successful second Annual Meeting that assembled 44 partners from 21 countries, European and international organizations as well as stakeholders representing health professionals, industry and civil society. The General Assembly was opened by a keynote from EU-JAMRAI coordinator Marie-Cécile Ploy, followed by a presentation from our host, the president of the Istituto Superiore de Sanità, Silvio Busaferro. The rest of the event was organized in three dynamic sessions that summarized the achievements of the first two years of the Joint Action implementation. The second day of the meeting, the Joint Action gathered more than 30 relevant stakeholders involved in the fight against AMR. This second EU-JAMRAI Stakeholder Forum was opened by an inspiring keynote from Mr. Charles Price from DG Santé and organized in three round tables:
- Round table 1: Economic models for stimulating innovation and access to antimicrobials, moderated by Mr. Michele Cecchini (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development - OECD)
- Round table 2: Challenges to antimicrobial stewardship in animal health, moderated by Mr. Ernesto Liebana (European Food Safety Authority - EFSA)
- Round table 3: Sustainable integration of the One Health approach in National Action Plans, moderated by Mr. Charles Price (DG Santé)
