28th February 2018
The website includes information on the first Joint Action on Antimicrobial Resistance, a project funded by the European Union (EU), coordinated by France and implemented by 44 partners from 28 European countries.
The European Joint Action on Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare-Associated Infections (EU-JAMRAI) has launched the website www.eu-jamrai.eu to provide information on the development of this European initiative that aims to promote synergies among the EU Member States by developing and implementing effective One Health policies to combat the growing threat of antibiotic resistance.
In addition to information on the 44 partners that are part of this Joint Action, the international organizations that support it and the objectives and results of the different areas of work, the website also includes informative content targeted to the general public to raise awareness on the importance of prudent use of antibiotics and the risks associated to the misuse of these drugs.
Other noteworthy elements of the site are the possibility of subscribing to informative newsletters and the interaction with social networks Twitter, Facebook and YouTube in real time. The ‘Dissemination’ and the ‘Awareness and communication’ work packages (led by Spain through the AEMPS) foresee having a very active role in social networks with the visibility and behaviour change campaigns that will be developed throughout the three years of the project’s life.
