Ministerial debates at the conference focused on identifying actions needed to improve prevention and control of infections at national and European level.
It has been the first time that Romania holds the Council rotating presidency of the EU with four main priorities (Europe of convergence, a safer Europe, Europe as a strong global actor and Europe of common values) driven by the motto "Cohesion, a common European value, understood as unity, equal treatment and convergence".
Under its presidency Romania organized the Ministerial Conference “Next steps towards making the EU a best practice region in combating AMR” Ministerial debates at the conference focused on identifying actions needed to improve prevention and control of infections at national and European level.
During the event, Marie-Cecile Ploy, Coordinator of EU-JAMRAI, presented to the Ministries the main results achieved by the Joint Action during the first year and a half of work.
