Workshop: Combatting Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infections

Information:

The Consumers, Health and Food Executive Agency (Chafea), the Czech Ministry of Health (MoH) and the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) are organizing the workshop “Combatting Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infections” which will take place on 26 November, 2018 in Prague, the Czech Republic. The workshop aims to disseminate the results of the 3rd EU Health Programme 2014-2020 actions with special focus on joint action EU-JAMRAI. The workshop will not only have an informative purpose but will also provide a platform for discussion about the trend of increasing antibiotic resistance and its possible solutions in the context of “One Health” approach, recognizing the interconnectedness of human health, health of animals and the environment. This event will create an opportunity to exchange the best practices and share experience with implementation of measures to improve the quality of antibiotic use in human and veterinary medicine as well as measures to prevent and control infection (in particular to reduce the transmission and spread of multi-drug resistant organisms). The target audience are healthcare professionals in inpatient and outpatient care as well as experts and public officials in the area addressed by the workshop.

Sadika Bernard (EU-JAMRAI coordination team) and Lotta Edman (WP6) will give a presentation of the Joint Action at this event.
