13th International Conference on Antimicrobial Agents in Veterinary Medicine (AAVM)

Conference
September 14-16, 2026

Calling all Veterinary and Clinical Microbiologists!

Co-Chairs Ronette Gehring and Joseph Blondeau are pleased to invite the EU-JAMRAI 2 community to the 13th International Conference on Antimicrobial Agents in Veterinary Medicine (AAVM), taking place in Amersfoort, The Netherlands, from September 14–16, 2026.

This edition returns with a sharpened focus on the core laboratory pillars shaping the One Health landscape. Our primary goal is to provide a dedicated, high-impact forum specifically designed to elevate veterinary and clinical microbiology. The scientific program features sessions on:

  • Antimicrobial Susceptibility/Resistance including new/old antimicrobials, surveillance
  • Clinical Use of Antimicrobial Drugs including clinical trials, case reports and antimicrobial drug combinations
  • Antimicrobials including in vitro measurements (MIC, MPC, kill assays, synergy testing) and older antimicrobials revisited
  • Alternatives to Antimicrobial Agents including vaccines, immunomodulatory agents, anti-virulence strategies
  • Advances in Diagnostics including automation, traditional microbiology, molecular syndromic testing, artificial intelligence, smart phones, point of care testing, sequencing
  • The Microbiome and Antimicrobials
  • PK/PD including modelling studies, newer and older antimicrobial drugs, translation to clinical impact
  • Strategies for appropriate antimicrobial use including antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention and control, real time reporting of diagnostic testing results

As global resistance issues evolve, the insights generated in microbiology labs are more vital than ever. Your data, expertise, and voice are critical to tackling these complex dynamics. Join us at the forefront of these conversations—we look forward to welcoming you to Amersfoort this September!
